Recently we were asked, ” I want to have a Bible-based website that compares all religions asking questions of all, and thus have true Christianity standout. I also want to help people through the muck and mire of the Internet and really make some money. But how do I increase sales and membership, and drive traffic without stretching the truth, possibly deceiving, and/or flat-out lying about the products and services I’m offering?” And we answered:
Marketing has traditionally been an endeavor of externals: price, guarantee, return policy, scarcity, packaging, and the like. To speak of a potential customer’s inner life was included only in as much as it was required to know what the customer wanted so the marketer could shape his/her offer to fit that need. But to have considered the customer’s inner life-the customer’s soul life-would have returned gales of derisive laughter if not gotten you drummed out of the profession.
No one is exempt from making mistakes, it’s all part of being human. However, when it comes to your Internet Marketing business if you are making mistakes and are under the misguided impression that you are doing things correctly then you are setting yourself up for a rude awakening. You’ll find yourself staring blankly at your computer screen wondering why success is eluding you.
